About WeShare
WeShare is an app for sharing or renting products between people, associations, and local businesses. You can search for what you need or upload something you’d like to offer to the app.
When you’re interested in a product, you choose the dates and send a request. If the owner accepts it, you agree on a meeting point and validate the handover by scanning a QR code in the app.
To return the product, you just need to meet again and validate the return.
It’s that easy.
You have two options: you can use the app’s search engine to see the products that are already available in your area, filtering by keywords, category, or location. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, you can post a request to the community explaining what you need and wait for someone to offer it.
When you find a product you’re interested in, select the dates you need it for and send a request to the owner. If they accept it, the chat will open so you can finalize the details and agree on a meeting point.
For safety reasons, the chat is only activated once the owner accepts the request. This measure helps prevent misuse of the messaging system, such as harassment, which has occurred on other platforms.
We understand that questions may arise before reserving. That’s why you can send a request, talk to the owner once it’s accepted, and if it doesn’t convince you, cancel the reservation. If it is canceled more than 48 hours in advance, there is no charge.
Yes, it is. When someone publishes a product on WeShare, they can choose whether to offer it in exchange for money, points, or for free. Products available in exchange for points display the WeShare logo and have a fixed daily cost of 100 points per day. Points are earned by sharing your own products and serve as a way to ensure that those who borrow also contribute to the community in the future.
Products can also be offered for free by marking them in the listing as accessible only to certain groups or to users added as favorites. If you are part of one of those groups, or if you are on the owner’s favorites list, you will be able to access those products at no cost.
Once the reservation is agreed, both people meet at the agreed location. To validate the handover, one of them scans the QR code that appears in the other person’s app. Once this validation is completed, the product can be handed over safely.
When the usage period ends, the same process is repeated to confirm the return. Everything is recorded in the app to ensure tracking and security.
