FAQs
WeShare is an app to share or rent products among nearby people, associations, and local businesses. You can search for what you need or publish something you’d like to offer.
When you’re interested in a product, you select the dates and send a request. If the owner accepts, you agree on a meeting point and validate the delivery by scanning a QR code in the app. At the end of the rental period, you meet again to return and revalidate the product.
As simple as that.
You have two options: use the app’s search bar to explore products already available in your area (filtered by keyword, category, or location), or publish a request to the community explaining what you need and wait for someone to offer it.
Once you find a product you’re interested in, select the dates you need it (and when it’s available), and send a request to the owner. If they accept, the chat will open so you can finalize details and agree on the meeting point.
For safety reasons, the chat only becomes available once the owner has accepted your request. This helps prevent misuse of the messaging system, such as harassment, which has occurred on other platforms.
We understand that questions may come up before reserving. That’s why you can send a request, start chatting once it’s accepted, and if it doesn’t feel right, cancel the reservation.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the start time are free of charge.
Yes. When someone publishes a product on WeShare, they can choose to offer it for money, for points, or for free. Products available for points carry the WeShare logo and have a fixed daily point cost, regardless of their market value. You earn points by sharing your own products, which helps ensure that people who borrow also give back to the community.
Some products can also be shared for free if the owner marks them as available to specific groups or favorite users. If you’re part of those groups or on the owner’s favorites list, you can access the product at no cost.
Once the booking is confirmed, both users meet at the agreed location. To validate the handoff, one user scans the QR code shown in the other’s app. Once validated, the product can be handed over securely.
When the rental period ends, the same process is used to confirm the return. Everything is tracked in the app for transparency and safety.
